wilderness design at the providence flea.

Sunday was Wilderness Design's first day selling in person!

Honestly, this Etsy shop gig has been pretty seamless. Doing it all behind a screen is so much more low-key than selling in person.

But! The Providence Flea! Vendors and food trucks and musicians lined along the Providence River! I couldn't pass it up. I applied the week before opening day and got accepted with just five days to spare. That meant scrambling! Luckily I had lots of good help and it all came together by Sunday morning. It was amazing.

Selling in person brings so much more to the table (literally!) -- interacting with customers face-to-face, shaking hands and sharing stories, letting flea-goers touch and feel and look over products before they buy. It's a whole other animal. I kind of loved it.

(And it's still so wild to me that I'm even doing this. Last summer when I was still just playing, and then in September when I started charging for tattoo designs here and there, I had no idea this would become a thing.)

I'll be back at the Flea June 22nd, and perhaps a few dates in August too -- if you're local, come visit!
