A long-standing summer tradition.

From 2015:

Yesterday I posted a photo to Instagram of a quick list in my journal of things I want to do this summer. Late May is always the time of year when summer feels so close and inevitable and yet it's still only spring and you feel like you have all the time in the world (isn't summer like, half the year?) but then suddenly your Instagram feed is flying by in a haze of photos of feet in the sand and watermelon in a bowl on a deck and fans blowing curtains lazily and all of a sudden kids are going back to school and everyone's saying, "How can summer really already be over?"

Yesterday I had a moment of wanting to live my summer with as much intention and awareness as possible, and so I started a list. A simple list, to get started.

And then I thought, this should be prettier! I want to print something out and hang on my wall to remind me of my goals every day when I eventually wake up sweating with the fan on high in my third floor apartment every morning this summer.

And maybe you do, too. (Minus the third floor sweaty apartment, if you're lucky.)

And so I give you summer manifesto printables!

These are regular letter size files, so they'll print up nicely on any home printer. I printed mine out on some kraft card stock and am going to fill them in this weekend -- they'd also be great on some brightly colored paper, I'm sure. Feel free to share what you'll be up to this summer, too -- I want your good ideas :) If you do print out and fill in, share your lists with us on Instagram! #ruthclarkcreative
